In our redroom for an All Night Long showcase on the 22nd of August is Arthur Robert.
The Vienna-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer’s journey started at 16, teaching himself how to DJ with drum & bass records. However, a night spent in Berghain completely altered Arthur’s approach, setting the foundations for his sound he’s known for today.
Armed with a puristic approach to techno that’s inspired by Detroit's groove-driven core, he’s headlined festivals like Germany’s Stone Techno and Colombia’s FREEDOM. Institutions such as Tbilisi’s Bassiani, Berlin’s Berghain, and Brussels’ Fuse have all bore witness to his hypnotic throw-downs too.
As for his productions, they’ve been released on labels from the likes of Planet X, hereandthere, and Amotik. Arthur’s production ventures extend beyond techno, working on film scores as well as teaching sound design.
