About TREK TARIK:
From our adventures at St John's Island and our success at Pulau Ubin, we present to you the next edition of TREK TARIK! Express your interest and come pursue knowledge and character building beyond the classroom through learning expeditions. Inspired by a popular Singaporean milk tea that gets 'pulled' by its barista, TREK TARIK stretches our hearts, minds and hands to reach out into the wilderness, unfamiliar grounds and bring its quiet wisdom into the future. With such an appreciation of the spaces and environments around us, we seek to inspire a more sustainable future with our hands. We're also helping to fundraise for future community learning initiatives. Proceeds help cover refreshment, tools, material & facilitation costs, grow TREK TARIK, rental and build up the ground-up innovation movement.

About URBAN SURVIVAL Series:
In collaboration with Preppers Asia, Ashton Movements and support from the nice folks of Kampung Kampus, we bring you our next edition of 'TREK TARIK', featuring Canadian urban survival and parkour instructor, Ashton Law, experienced bushcraft instructor, Glen Poh, and expert archers from Traditional Archery Singapore. We are here to bring you, probably the most comprehensive urban survival training ever in Singapore.

About the Venue:
This edition will be held at the Kampung Kampus, Singapore's first eco-village and sustainable learning campus situated at Yishun, beside ORTO Park, near Khatib MRT. This venue is also the home of Ground-Up Initiative (GUI), a 10-year old environmental and social non-profit committed towards building a 5G Singapore that is more Gracious, Green, Giving, Grounded and Grateful. We have also held humanitarian simulations and practicums at Kampung Kampus previously.

About Trainers:

Glen Poh has always had an adventurous heart and passionate in exploring and nature. Over time, he decided that one of the important life skill to have is to be capable of taking care of himself alone in the wilderness with nothing through his bushcraft, wilderness survival and living skills. Back in 2010, Glen started off more into solo backpack hiking, camping, before moving on more to Wilderness Survival skills and Bushcraft. He started off by gradually doing a lot of research and study on the subject, and expose himself to practicing in the wild and learning from other fellow practitioners. After years of frustrations and trial and error through practice, along with theory studies, including having close calls with real life survival situations in the past, he has gained a lot of knowledge and wisdom and know what works and what do not. Tough lessons learnt along the way and Glen learnt things through the long and hard way. He has practiced Bushcraft and spent numerous overnight trips in the wild in different parts of the world with different types of environments and conditions, from tropical, to desert, to temperate to the Arctic. He has the most experience and knowledge in tropical jungle survival. Today, along with his formal education and knowledge in coaching, he shares his knowledge, skills and experience to beginners, so that beginners can avoid making the same mistakes he did, and to also speed up their learning experience by a ton. He has helped taught several beginners in schools and organisations, such as the Girl Guides and more.

Ashton Law is well-known for being the founding father of the Parkour Singapore community and founder of Ashton Movements Agency, the first and leading Free-Running agency in Singapore. He has also organised several humanitarian trips across South-East Asia. He has also worked as a private security contractor and tactical instructor, which he acquired a high level of tactical skills from years of operating in hostile environment
