Event description
Come celebrate Singapore National Day with us as we paint this beautiful Vanda Miss Joaquim Pendant together using Pastel Nagomi Art.

About this event

Vanda Miss Joaquim was chosen as Singapore's National Flower for its resilience and year-round blooming quality. These are the characteristics which reflect Singapore's quest for progress and excellence. Being a hybrid flower, it is also a symbol of Singapore's multicultural heritage and a representation of the harmony among our ethnic communities.

During this pandemic, this flower reminds us to be even more resilient and persistent in our fight against Covid-19. In this online class, let us celebrate National Day together by painting this wonderful flower encapsulated in a beautiful pendant, and be amazed by the unique and simple techniques of Pastel Nagomi Art. The artwork also makes a wonderful gift for National Day or just simply as a decoration piece at home. Hurry and sign up now as seats are limited.

Classes are suitable for anyone aged 12 years and older. No experience or art background is required, but you will need to have your own basic Pastel Nagomi Art materials to attend the online classes. Experience in PNA would be an advantage.

Date: 23 July 2021, Friday Or 7 August 2021, Saturday

Time: 10.00am to 12.00pm

Organiser Simply Nagomi

Organiser of Vanda Miss Joaquim Online Workshop

Simply Nagomi is a Singapore brand co-founded by Cindy and Irene.  They are certified Pastel Nagomi Art Advanced Instructors with Japan Pastel Hope Art Association (JPHAA).  “Nagomi” in Japanese Kanji is ‘’, meaning harmony. Using simple and unique painting techniques, the focus of their workshops is to help participants discover their creativity and find harmony and relaxation through the process of creating their own beautiful art pieces.

Since 2017, they have worked with various organisations to bring PNA to people from all walks of life, including office employees, volunteers, senior citizens, homemakers and children. They have also trained new instructors in PNA while constantly upgrading their skills further by actively participating in workshops and exhibitions and interacting with fellow Advanced Instructors, both locally and from overseas. They have obtained their Advanced Instructor certification after having attended the Advanced Instructor course conducted by the founder of PNA, Mr Hosoya Norikatsu (Director of JPHAA) in Kuala Lumpur in Apr 2018. They have attended and completed workshops and courses in Elena Kagami’s Angel Blessing Series, Pastel Portrait Painting, and they are certified by Flower Of Crystal Art Academy in the Flower of Crystal Art Meister & Teacher Course.
