Description

Guardians of Mother Earth proudly present The Art of Coffee, a series of workshops designed to deepen your sense of appreciation towards green living with coffee.

The Art of Coffee Series #2: The Invigorating Scrub

Our skin is the largest organ in our body. It absorbs 60% – 80% of what it comes in contact with. When you use commercial cosmetic products, lotions, perfume and artificially scented oils and scrubs, all of the ingredients in those products are absorbed right into your bloodstream. The ingredients in these products can be toxic and are even known to contribute to allergies, cancer and birth defects in extreme cases.

That is why I love to make my own beauty products as then I would know what exactly what I will be applying to my skin. The ingredients I use for this workshop are mostly natural ingredients that I already found in my kitchen, hence I want to share these DIY recipes with you while enabling you to sustain a natural resource by rejuvenating its purpose in a totally new form, which in turns adds on to your love for Mother Gaia much more.

Whenever you brew a pot of coffee, you're left with a filter's worth of used coffee grounds that probably wind up in the trash. However, you can repurpose those leftover grounds and use them on your body. A coffee scrub provides several skin benefits, including improved skin texture and circulation with a natural cellulite reduction all at almost cost to you.

All participants please bring your own glass jar for the scrub that you are making.
