This Level 2 course is only available to participants who have taken a Brahm Centre Watercolour Florals and Brush Lettering Course, a Brahm Centre Watercolour Painting Course or any 4 hours or more Watercolour Basics Workshop.

Participants will learn more techniques and have a deeper level of appreciation of Watercolour Florals. This course will begin with a refresher on the different techniques and characteristics of watercolor and progressing to curating their own frame-able artworks by the end of the class. This course aims to focus on Colour mixtures, using different watercolor mediums, intermediate watercolor techniques to be shared and improving their brush control skills to achieve a better outlook of their florals. The drawings shown are only for illustration purpose.

WHAT?

Participants will be able to have a better grasp of the different watercolor techniques and brush control. Participants will also be equipped with the materials knowledge to choose their ideal brands of papers, paints and brushes for their artworks. This Level 2 course aims to build a strong fundamental of watercolor techniques and the control over this medium. Focus of the course will be largely based on Color mixtures, using of different watercolor mediums to create the best results, more intermediate watercolor techniques to be shared and improving their brush control skills to achieve a better outlook of their florals.

Learning Outcome:

  1. Equipped with skillsets and materials knowledge e.g choosing the correct paper, brushes and colors
  2. Better grasp of colour theory, mixing, watercolor techniques and its application
  3. Better understanding of watercolour florals compositions

Materials provided: 

All new materials required will be provided

Things for participants to bring from home :

- A container for washing of brushes 

- A cloth for cleaning the brushes 

- Scissors 

- Pencil and erasers 

- Water brushes and Paint palettes provided in your introduction class(Watercolour Beginner Class)

COURSE FEE:

$350 |$70 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy*

*NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.

In addition to NSA subsidy, course fee may be offset by SkillsFuture Credit (SFC).

Payment Procedure:

1) Upon registration, course participants are to make payment for the course through Brahm Centre’s Eventbrite page.

2) Participants have to claim with SFC before the course start date through the SkillsFuture portal, https://www.myskillsfuture.gov.sg/content/portal/en/index.html

3) Brahm Centre will reimburse the amount that is successfully claimed upon receipt of the funds from SFC. This procedure can take up to 12 weeks from the course start date.

Notes:

• Please note that payments for courses are non-refundable.

• There are no make-up lessons if you miss any session.

• If you miss the first session, you are allowed to proceed with the course. However, the trainer is not obligated to do a recap during the second session.

• Brahm Centre reserves the right to replace a trainer, should the trainer be unable to conduct the class due to unforeseen circumstances.

Trainer Profile

Kathleen is a talented artist whom work mainly on watercolour and acrylic as a medium. She loves to explore all kinds of colourful mediums and found herself to have great interest in painting florals. Recreating what she observes in nature and transforming those inspirations into watercolour art pieces.
