Description

ikibook presents What If: The Musical, a crowd sourced, organic collaboration with ordinary folks, talented mavericks and bold dreamers.

What if we could bring people together from all walks of life, regardless of their age, religion, race and geographical locations and create something magical together… like a Musical?

What if this was a start to a worldwide movement, a phenomenon of creators uniting, sharing their ideas and creativity and building something lasting, defying what we conventionally thought was possible and redefining how we choose to live, exploring the kinds of world we want to live in and having the real power to inspire real changes in the world?

Join us for this utterly unplanned, disorganised mess of fun and experience creation in the midst of chaos, unknowns and the unexpected. Collaborate with other creators and be in the organic flow of letting the creation unfold.

If you are ready to join us, pull up your sleeves and put up a mini musical in one month's time, come to our briefing session of this project on 30 June 2018 (Saturday) from 9AM to 12PM! We intend to present this musical at the 3rd day of Campus Party on the 8th of July. More about Campus Party here.

About the creator of this project, Iris Koh

Iris had the experience of creating a similar project titled The Shoes Stories for Tedx women in 2009. She volunteered to put up a performance for the showcase without a song written. The final song performed during the event was a result of collaboration with a group of women and telling and sharing that story in song. Shoe Stories has since been performed numerous times by VOCO Singapore, the Foreign Domestic Workers Association and other groups of people over the years.

Iris Koh is also the founder of Ikibook, a platform aimed at using blockchain to encourage collaboration in the creative industry. ikibook’s mission is to save meaningful content in the world. This is the first Ikibook project and we hope this will give a practical example of how collaboration and adoption of the ecosystem for creators can be applied in real life and how we intend to save meaningful content in the world.
