In conjunction with the upcoming HSBC World Rugby Sevens Singapore, Capgemini – the official Global Innovation Partner of the Rugby Sevens – will be hosting our next session of "What's Now: Singapore" – Connecting Individuals, Consumers, and Businesses: Sports & Marketing on Thursday, 11 April 2019.

This session will feature prominent figures in the world of sports and distinguished speakers from an exciting array of companies that have adopted innovative technologies to transform and create new experiences for individuals, consumers, and businesses, in the areas of sports, retail, and marketing. Some of these include the use of AI image recognition solutions that make recommendations and predictions for consumer goods companies to measure and monitor in-store execution performance, or shorten the path to action in consumers’ search process on the web.

  • Oliver Tan | CEO & Co-founder of ViSenze; Member of Forbes Technology Council
    Oliver co-founded ViSenze in 2012 to simply the visual web, which was named Interbrand Breakthrough Brand 2017 for its AI-driven innovations. Oliver is also a member of Forbes Technology Council advocating responsible technology developments as well as one of the Top 10 Innovators & Disruptors by The Peak Power List 2017 by Singapore Press Holdings. He has been named Top 40 individuals who shaped Southeast Asia eCommerce in 2016 by eCommerce IQ, and voted Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 by The Singapore Computer Society.
  • Shavit Clein | Head of Retail Execution Practice (Global) at Trax
    Shavit has worked extensively with tier one FMCG companies such as Coca Cola, in leveraging Trax’s image recognition capabilities to create relevant and actionable business insights. Driven by entrepreneurship, Shavit also has a wide range of experience in various technology firms and start-up companies in a variety of different fields and industries in Asia and globally.
  • Scott Hastings | Former International Rugby Player; Sports Commentator & Columnist
    Scott is Scotland’s most capped rugby centre-three-quarter player with 65 caps. A former captain of the Scotland 7s team, he has played in tournaments around the world including Dubai & Hong Kong. Following retirement from the game, he moved into broadcasting as a regular commentator at the Rugby World Cup 7s in Moscow (2013) and Japan (2019) as well as the HSBC Sevens World Series. Scott also runs Hi Events Ltd, a sports and events business, and writes a regular rugby column for The Times Scotland newspaper.
  • Marissa Pace | Chief Marketing Officer at World Rugby
    Marissa is an internationally recognized sports marketing executive with over 15 years of experience and has worked at the highest levels of digital and TV including Formula One, NFL, NASCAR, and the PGA. She has worked with some of the world’s most recognized advertising agencies (Publicis, AKQA, Wunderman, Octagon) and now owns and operates a digital strategy consultancy firm specializing in sports. Marissa has also been on various sports marketing panels such as the Clio Sports Digital Awards.
  • Sven Gloor | Senior Manager Global Strategy and Planning, HSBC
    An experienced professional in the sports marketing and sponsorship industry, Sven has held roles in sponsorship sales, consulting and athlete management and worked with prominent Australian sporting stars such as Rugby World Cup winning Wallaby Captain John Eales, Australian Cricket Captain Michael Clarke, and Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer Grant Hackett. Sven now manages HSBC’s global rugby portfolio including the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
