About this event
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to stimulate the meridians, which are also known as nadis in Hatha Yoga. These postures are held for longer periods of time, from 45 sec to 3 mins or more.
Yin Yoga practice involves passive postures which are mainly on the floor. Through relaxation while maintaining the posture, it soften the muscles and apply moderate stress to the deep connective tissues of the body like tendons, ligaments and fascia etc. with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility.
