Mother & Child with Stephanie 8:00am – 8:45am
Through practising breathing, yoga poses and mindfulness exercises, mother and daughter will increase their self-confidence, learn how to deal with stress, and create open communication with each other. They will leave the class feeling calm, peaceful and connected. Children 6 years old and above can participate.
Women’s Day Yoga: Strength & Stretch with Kiki 9:00am – 10:00am
Energise and focus your power through this strengthening practice suitable for all levels. Come willing to explore variations of standing and seated poses with the intention to bring balance to your efforts. It is possible to be strong and soft at the same time! We will learn to dig deep into our energy reserves to access strength and create stamina through repetition. Then, time will be spent to relax the yang energy through longer holds of deep stretches.
Women’s Day Yoga: Oh my Goddess Vinyasa Flow with Yun 10.15am – 11.15am
Aphrodite, Guanyin, Devi, Durga ... throughout history, humans have worshipped goddesses for beauty, fertility and love. In these changing times where increasing emphasis is placed on womanhood and feminism, we reclaim our power through harnessing what we already have deep within us — the feminine divine. Flow through a fluid yoga practice and chant to Durga the powerful warrior goddess at the end of the session.
Complimentary and open to all. Young, old, yogi, non-yogi, whether you live yoga or have never touched a yoga mat before – come sweat, laugh and experience our amazing community.
Bring your own mats, towels and water. Event will take place, rain or shine.
About International Women’s Day
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD run by the Suffragettes in 1911. IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organisation specific.
