About this event

Join us as we discuss the theme of Peace Talks, and uncover how conflict mitigation, humanitarian operations, and post-conflict rehabilitation help to keep children safe in the most dangerous parts of the world. Hear from World Vision’s field practitioners as they share what they are doing to build conflict resilience and forge reconciliation in different countries affected by violence, and embark on a virtual trip to a regional city recovering from armed conflict.

Find out more here.

When registering for this event, please choose from one of the following workshop options:

Coffee Talks

Hear from a young business owner as she shares her first-hand account of the challenges and rewards of setting up a social enterprise in Singapore that seeks to support refugee livelihoods overseas. Have a go at devising your very own business plan to give refugees a hand up!

Climate Talks

Discover the hidden links between climate change and conflict risk. Hear from World Vision’s conflict sensitivity analysts as they share how climate change can be a threat multiplier in communities with low levels of conflict resilience. Learn about conflict assessment tools, and try your hand at threat level analysis based on real-life case studies drawn from our speakers’ experience of working in conflict zones.

Campaign Talks

Find out what it takes to plan and execute an advocacy campaign for children living in crisis settings when speed and accuracy are of the essence in gathering information, communicating needs, and social mobilisation. Become the voice calling for peace in your own circle of influence – and beyond!

Ticket sales end 30 Nov 2022.
