Set the payout country and currency for your event

To avoid issues with your event sales, make sure the settings for your payout country and currency are correct before publishing your event. If you sell tickets in the wrong currency, you can’t switch to a different currency without refunding all orders.

Eventbrite is unable to exchange currency for payouts.

  3. Go to Payments & tax, then select Payment options.

I need to change my currency, but I’ve already sold tickets

To change the currency after selling tickets, follow the steps based on your event’s status:

Upcoming or active event

If you’ve already sold tickets, you can’t change the event’s currency without resetting your event. To do this:

  1. Refund all orders, then unpublish the event.

  2. Follow the steps above to update your payout country and currency.

  3. Republish the event and direct attendees to re-register through your event listing.

I need to change my payout country

If your payout country is incorrect, you can update it to any country that supports your chosen currency, as long as your event is still active. In this case, you won’t need to refund orders or unpublish your event unless the currency is also incorrect.
