Organizing an event

Create and edit your organizer profile

Your organizer profile page shows all your public events in one view. People can also follow your organizer profile, and they'll be notified when you publish events. Each event must have an organizer profile attached to it before you publish. Create, review, and edit organizer profiles in your Organization settings.

Create or edit an organizer profile.

1. Go to 'Events.'

Log in to your Eventbrite account and go to Events .

2. Go to Organization settings.

From the left navigation menu, select Organization settings. By default, this opens Organizer profile.

3. Select an existing organizer profile or 'Add organizer profile.'

Eventbrite automatically creates an "unnamed organizer" profile by default. Edit this profile or add a new one to show who the event organizer is.

4. Enter your organizer profile information.

Each organizer profile has the following:

  • Organizer profile image: This will appear on your event listing and Organizer Profile. Eventbrite recommends a 1:1 ratio for square images, like 400x400.

  • About the organizer: Your name and website. This will appear on your event listing and public Organizer Profile.

  • Organizer page URL: Unique URL for your organizer profile page. Leave as is or customize. For new profiles, you must save the page before the option to customize your Organizer page URL will appear. When sharing your URL, the format should be: https://yourURL.eventbrite.com (adding "www" will result in an error).

  • Organizer Bio: Who you are, the types of events you host, or your mission. This information shows on your public Organizer Profile page.

  • Description for event pages: Shows in the host section of the events you create.

5. Enter social media and marketing information.

  • Facebook ID: Your official Facebook ID

  • X (formerly Twitter): Your official X username.

  • Email Opt-in: Switch the toggle to the on position (right) to give attendees the option to opt in to receive marketing emails when they register for an event. Learn more about data protection.

6. Save your changes.

Review your followers.

Your organizer profile displays the number of followers you have. Followers are users who selected Follow when visiting your event listing or organizer profile.

  • When you publish a new public event, followers get an email and app notification. They can adjust which notifications they receive in their app settings.

  • If you publish more than two events on the same day, followers are only notified about the first two published events.

  • If you publish your event as a private event, followers are not notified, even if you later change the privacy setting to "public" or republish the event.

  • For privacy reasons, follower information is not visible.

Add or change the organizer profile on your event.

When you're ready to publish a new event or want to update the profile on an already-published event:

  1. Log in to your Eventbrite account and go to Events .

  2. Select your event to go to its event dashboard.

  3. Go to Publish.

  4. From the Organizer dropdown, select your organizer profile.

  5. Publish your changes.

If your event is in draft, you can't change the organizer profile without also publishing the event. It can take up to 24 hours for the event to appear on your organizer profile page.

Delete an organizer profile.

Go to Organization settings and select the three-dot menu next to the organizer profile you want to delete. Then, select Delete. You can only delete profiles that aren't tied to any events.

If you're unable to delete an organizer profile, you'll need to remove it from any events it is currently on.

  1. Log in to your Eventbrite account and go to Events .

  2. Use the Organizer dropdown to view events under the profile you would like to delete.

  3. Select the event to go to its event dashboard.

  4. Go to Publish.

  5. From the Organizer dropdown, select a different organizer profile.

  6. Publish your changes.

If your event is in draft, these steps will publish it. You can unpublish your event after changing the organizer profile. Publish your event privately to prevent people from being notified about it.
