Codomo

In 2017, we launched our first ever Kickstarter for Potato Pirates - a card game to teach computer programming without computers to help spread the joy of learning coding to non-programmers. After the campaign, we received a lot of positive feedback from parents, educators and gamers. They loved the balance of excitement and educational value that the game delivers. Since then, we have sold over 20,000 decks worldwide and boosted the interest and confidence of many more people in learning to code.

Besides our raving backers, Potato Pirates was also awarded the international Good Design Award, Singapore Good Design Award and Core77 Education Design Award in 2018. The overwhelming response is a strong affirmation that people enjoy learning abstract concepts in a social setting with fun and games. Hence, our team embarked on a new journey to explore other esoteric yet relevant concepts that can be made accessible to the general public using this approach.

With the Potato Pirates series of products, we aim to bridge the gap between the rapidly changing technological concepts and slow-to-adapt educational curriculum by creating games that foster a vibrant learning community regardless of age, resources and background.
