Global Cultural Alliance

Founded in 2014, Global Cultural Alliance is a not-for-profit organisation which focuses on building communities and bridging borders.

At the heart of the company, the team firmly believes in the transformative power of the arts and works with marginalised segments of society including individuals with experiences of offending/incarceration, poverty or in need of mental health support. Currently, GCA works closely with the Yellow Ribbon Project and Visual Arts Hub of Changi Prisons Complex on art projects within the prisons complex and beyond. In June 2019, GCA worked with artists formerly from Visual Arts Hub at Changi Prisons for a community art mural project and with Yellow Ribbon Project to feature artworks of inmate-artists for a pop-up art exhibition at Fair Play: an inclusive art carnival located on Level 8 car park of Parklane Shopping Mall.

Above all, as an arts management company, GCA’s portfolio of notable recent commissioned work includes #BuySingLit Nomads and The World in a Cup of Tea (2019), One Voice: The Best of ASEAN Performing Arts (2018), The Ghost in Your Head as part of Singapore Writers Festival Late Night Programmes (2018) and Sunburst: The Business Times – CapitaLand Fundraising Concert in aid of School of the Arts Student Assistance Fund and Muscular Dystrophy Association Singapore (MDAS) (2017 & 2018).

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of TRCL, GCA is the programme curator for signature monthly arts and wellness programmes like Rejuvenate!.
