Huifong Ng
An award-winning portrait artist, poet, author and art educator, Huifong is also the founder of Atelier Huifong Ng and Huifong's Art Gallery (H.A.G) which nurtures and empowers fine art learning in children and provides professional art consultancy to artists.
Born in Kuala Belait, Brunei Darussalam, Huifong’s early painting learning journeys took her to The United States of America and later to France to learn portraiture. To have a better understanding of human features, Huifong also traveled to Italy to learn sculpture. In 2014, Huifong held her first solo exhibition in Singapore, a journey which continues on until today where she has been invited to exhibit in China, Italy and United Arab Emirates, as well as in her home country, Brunei Darussalam.
Over the years, Huifong's painting achievements have drawn the attention and affirmation of the art circles.
Her famous works include The Founding Father of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Singapore then-President Tony Tan and spouse, Singapore President Halimah Yacob and spouse, and Malaysia then-Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir and spouse.
In 2015 and 2016 respectively, Huifong received the Special Award of The Biennale of Umbria and International Prize Colosseo Award in Italy.
Huifong also presented to the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, a painting of the Crowning of His Majesty by the late Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of His Majesty in 2017.
Huifong and her team have curated and organized many art events, focusing on children's art exhibitions and international art exhibitions.
Huifong speaks English, Malay, Chinese, Hokkien, Cantonese, French and Italian. She is also an author to 3 books.
