Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics

HOME (Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics) is an IPC registered charity established in 2004. We are dedicated to assisting low-wage migrant workers in Singapore who suffer abuse and exploitation. Three pillars guide us: Welfare, Empowerment, and Advocacy.

Migrant workers take on low-wage jobs as domestic workers or in the construction, marine, manufacturing, service and conservancy sectors. Their work is often dangerous and precarious. Unpaid salaries, excessive working hours, work injuries, physical and psychological abuse are some of the common problems these workers face.

We run help desks available to all migrant workers, as well as a shelter for domestic workers. We also offer financial aid, legal assistance, and skills training courses to them. In 2021, over 2,000 migrant workers received support from HOME.

HOME envisions an inclusive society that stands for justice, fairness, equality, and dignity for all migrant workers in Singapore.
