About NEWRIComm 

NEWRIComm, the community development arm of Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute (NEWRI) helps under-privileged communities in Asia to meet the challenges of  clean water and sanitation. In conjunction with the Lien Environmental Fellowship (LEF) program, NEWRIComm has spearheaded environment and sustainability projects in over 7 countries in Asia and benefitting over 1 million beneficiaries.In 2017, NEWRIComm was conferred the ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award & IES Prestigious Engineering Award for its engineering project in Mitigation of Pollution at Kandy Lake.
