The ACJC Alumni Choir

The Anglo-Chinese Junior College Alumni Choir comprises singers of various ages who have been inspired by their time in the College Choir and are eager to continue performing choral music. Integrity, an eagerness to learn and a pursuit of excellence are values shared by choristers across the years and unite the choir as one committed to blessing through music. The choir performs in the annual ACJC Choir concert, An Evening with Friends, presents an Advent concert each December and has embarked on competition and concert tours to Europe.

Over the years, it has broadened its musical horizons and is privileged to perform new music by composers from both Singapore and abroad. The choir recorded an album of specially commissioned pieces by Israeli composer Eran Dinur and Singaporean Kelly Tang in 2015, embarked on its inaugural Advent concert tour to the UK in 2016 and organised in 2017, in collaboration with the Finnish community in Singapore, All Sing - a community singing project open to members of the public. In 2019, the choir also held a joint concert with Vokalsystem in Berlin, performed at the Singapore Embassy in Berlin, and participated in the 22nd Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival. Amid these activities, the ACJC Alumni Choir remains a group of friends bound together by a passion for choral singing and a desire to grow as an ensemble. At its heart, the choir firmly believes in making music that touches and brings joy to its audience.
