How to use the Eventbrite Android app

Wherever you're located, you can use the Eventbrite app for Android (Android version 5.0 and above) to find, purchase tickets to, save, and even share events that you’re interested in. You can also use the app to reference tickets to events you're registered to attend. Help is available for iPhone users, too.

Find events to attend

The Eventbrite app makes it easy to find great upcoming events near you. Try browsing recommended ("Top picks for you") and "trending" events in your area. You can also “follow” your favorite event organizers to make sure you’re in the know.

TIP: If you’re organizing an event on Eventbrite, you can use our Eventbrite Organizer mobile app—our box office solution for your events.

PRO TIP: You may need to log in to your Eventbrite account on the web to perform certain tasks. For example, on the Android app, you can’t change your Eventbrite email address or password. You also can’t cancel your registration for a free event.

1. See recommended and trending popular events in your area.

In the home tab, scroll through a list of our “Top picks for you.” Keep scrolling to view events hosted by organizers that you follow and trending events for your area.

TIP: Want to change your location? Tap your location at the top of the page to enter a new one or choose a location from the list of "Popular cities."

2. Search by date, location, and/or category.

Tap the search tab (magnifying glass icon) in the bottom toolbar to:

  • Select a time period—Tap “I want to go out” to choose a range (i.e. “Today” or “This Weekend”) or “Pick a date” to select a specific date range.

  • Search by location—Tap “In” to select your current location or choose from our list of “Popular cities.”

  • Browse events by category—Tap “And I’m up for” to choose an event category like “Music,” “Food & Drink,” or if you’re feeling adventurous, “Anything.”

TIP: After you search, tap the filter icon in the top-right to sort through events (show only free events or filter by date.)

3. Follow your favorite event organizers.

Following an organizer adds their events to your feed in the Home tab, making sure you’re always aware of events they’re putting on. You can also view a list of the organizers you follow in the Profile tab. To follow an organizer, tap on one of their events, then scroll down to the “Organizer” section. Tap the “Follow” button.

TIP: You can also follow an organizer’s Facebook and Twitter profiles by clicking on the icons next to “Follow.”

Like and share events

Tapping on the heart icon next to an event will save it in your “Likes” tab, where you can return and purchase tickets anytime (as long as tickets are still available). You can also share events with your friends via email, text message, or social media.

1. Like an event.

Throughout the app, you’ll see heart icons next to event names. Tapping on one of these icons will save the event to your “Likes” tab.

2. Revisit your likes.

To view your Likes tab, tap on the heart icon in the bottom toolbar. Here you’ll see any tickets you’ve already purchased as well as all of the events you’ve liked.

3. Share an event.

You can share an event by tapping the share icon. You can also share an event when viewing the details of an event. Choose one of the default sharing options.

NOTE: Sharing options vary by device and past history of shared options used on the device. Common share options are email, text message, and social media feeds like Twitter and Facebook.

Purchase tickets to events

Buying tickets on the Eventbrite app is quick and simple. Register for an event with just a few taps and just like online orders, we'll send a confirmation email as a receipt for your order.

Please note: You may view some events on the app that are not ticketed by Eventbrite. The ticket purchase flows for those events may differ from the description below.

Eventbrite takes the security and privacy of your billing information seriously. All online payments are processed over a secure connection using a PCI-compliant gateway.

1. Tap “Tickets.”

When you find an event you want to attend, just tap the “Tickets" button.

2. Add tickets to your cart.

Select a quantity next to your desired ticket type, then tap “Order Now” or “Register.” (“Order Now” appears for events that require payment; “Register” appears for free events.)

NOTE: For events with a seating map, mobile registrations usually get the best available seat assigned by default. If you see the option to pick a seat, you can choose another place to sit by tapping a different seat.

3. Enter your payment information.

Add or select a payment method, and enter any other details the organizer is requesting for their event. Then confirm the information entered is correct before proceeding.

TIP: If you’re registering for a free event, you won’t have to enter any payment information—you’ll see a button to complete the order instead.

PRO TIP: Tap to check the box next "Save billing and payment info" to save your credit/debit card to your Eventbrite account—making purchasing tickets even faster and easier in the future.

NOTE: You can use the back arrow to add items to your order, but the information you entered won't be saved.

4. Tap "Pay Now" or “Register” to finish.

Tap "Pay Now" or “Register” to verify your payment information and complete the order. Then review the order confirmation screen to ensure your order completed successfully.

NOTE: When your order is complete, you'll also get an email order confirmation as a receipt.

Find tickets you ordered

The Eventbrite app makes it easy to reference tickets you've purchased to events. Show your ticket to scan for entry (if the event organizer has tickets enabled for their event), see details about each event you're registered for, or get in touch with your event organizer.

1. View your tickets.

Tap the profile icon on the far-right side of the bottom toolbar. Under "Tickets," upcoming events show first. Swipe up to reference tickets registered to past events.

2. Show your ticket to scan.

Under “Tickets,” tap on the ticket icon for the event to reveal your QR code.

3. Contact the event organizer.

Tap on the organizer’s name from any page to view their profile. Then tap on the three-dots icon in the top-right hand corner, and tap “Contact.” You can also access “Contact the event host” from your mobile ticket by tapping the three-dots icon. This will open up a message box where you can submit your question or request.

TIP: If you need to cancel a registration for a free event, you'll need to do this directly on Eventbrite.com. Learn all the ways you can contact the event organizer.
