Connect your online event to Zoom

Link your event to Zoom with Eventbrite’s Zoom app. When you connect your event to Zoom, Eventbrite sends attendees a secure link to your Zoom meeting or webinar with each registration. To get started, go to “Online event page” and click “Connect Zoom”.

<h2 id="1">1. Check this before you start.</h2> <p>☑️ You already have a Zoom account.<br><br>☑️ The Zoom integration is only available in English.<br><br>☑️ If you don’t have a Zoom meeting or webinar created, Eventbrite’s integration will create one for you.<br><br>☑️ Once added to an event, the Zoom integration can&#39;t be removed. You can still change it to another meeting or webinar.<br><br>The Zoom integration doesn’t support:<br><br>❌ Multiple Zoom meetings or webinars on the same event<br><br>❌ Repeating events that use the event schedule feature<br><br>❌ Zoom webinars and meetings with custom questions or &quot;Only authenticated users can join&quot; enabled<br><br>❌ Multiple tickets under one email address — Zoom won&#39;t add duplicate registrations<br><br>❌ Call-ins, manual joining — attendees must join from the link on the online event page</p> <h2 id="2">2. Create an online event.</h2> <p>To create an online event:</p> <ol><li>Go to &quot;eblink{Manage events=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.com/myevents target=_blank}&quot; in your account.</li><li>Select “Create event”.</li><li>Fill in the details for your event; set the location to “Online”.</li><li>Click “Save &amp; continue”.</li></ol> <h2 id="3">3. Go to “Online event page”.</h2> <h2 id="4">4. Select “Connect Zoom” (under “Live video content”).</h2> <h2 id="5">5. Select “Add new account”, and then log in with Zoom.</h2> <p>If this is your first time using Zoom, authorize the Zoom app as well.</p> <h2 id="6">6. Select a Zoom user. Then click “Next”.</h2> <h2 id="7">7. Connect to an existing Zoom meeting or webinar or create a new one.</h2> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">To link your event to your Zoom:</p> <ol><li class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">Choose between a meeting or webinar.</li><li class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">To link an existing meeting or webinar, un-check “Create a new Zoom”. Otherwise, leave it checked.</li><li class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">Select “Finish” to complete the connection.</li><li class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">Close the Zoom window.</li></ol> <div class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">With the connection set:</div> <ul><li class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">Eventbrite syncs your event details to your Zoom meeting/webinar.</li><li class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">Changes to your event update automatically on Zoom.</li><li class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">Attendees who register on Eventbrite automatically register on Zoom (if Zoom registrations are enabled).</li></ul> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">NOTE: Webinars and registrations aren’t available for all Zoom accounts. eblink{Learn more about the Zoom’s available features=&gt;https://zoom.us/pricing}.</p> <h2 id="8">8. Manage your Zoom connection.</h2> <p>Update your Zoom connection any time at your online event page. • Select the gear icon to change the visibility settings. • Click “Edit connection” and “Configure” to edit your connection settings. • Click “Edit on Zoom” to update your settings on Zoom.</p> <h2 id="9">9. Start your meeting/webinar.</h2> <p>When you are ready to start your event, go back to “Online event page”. Then, click “Start meeting”.</p> <h2 id="10">10. Understand your attendees’ experience.</h2> <p>When your attendees register on Eventbrite:</p> <ol><li>They get an email that includes a link to your online event page.</li><li>On this page, there is a countdown to when your event starts.</li><li>To join the event, attendees click a secure link to your Zoom meeting/webinar.</li><li>When they join, attendees are checked in on Eventbrite (if Zoom registrations are enabled). The Zoom link is active 5 minutes before your event starts. If you have not started the meeting/webinar yet, your attendees go to a waiting room.</li></ol> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">NOTE: If an attendee’s Zoom account does not have the same email address as their Eventbrite account, they won’t check in.
