We understand the impact this has on our global event community in affected areas. To support your health and well-being, Eventbrite closely monitors the official guidance from health authorities, local governments, and the WHO. Deciding to cancel or postpone your event

As you navigate the decision of what to do about your event, we understand how difficult this decision is and are here to support you. Here are some relevant details to move forward on making a decision: 1. Get up-to-date information about local COVID-19 activity from the World Health Organisation (WHO). The WHO provides eblink{specific guidance=>https://www.who.int/publications-detail/key-planning-recommendations-for-mass-gatherings-in-the-context-of-the-current-covid-19-outbreak} on how to prepare your event for issues relating to COVID-19. 2. Review the recommendations from your local or state department of public health.

Change your event from live to virtual

An alternative to cancelling or postponing your event, is to host it virtually rather than gathering in-person. To do this, you should change the location of your event from a physical location to online. Here's how: 1. Click on your event under "Manage events" in your account. 2. Go to "Basic info" on your Event Dashboard. 3. Select the pencil icon next to your event location. 4. Click on the dropdown "Venue" and select "Online event". 5. eblink{Follow the steps=>https://www.eventbrite.sg/support/articleredirect?anum=19996} to create a livestream event page. There are two extra steps to take when you change your live event to a virtual event. 1. eblink{Communicate the changes=>https://www.eventbrite.sg/support/articleredirect?anum=3327} to your attendees. 2. Include the link of the livestream in your eblink{email to attendees=>https://www.eventbrite.sg/support/articleredirect?anum=3327} or send it out at a later time. When you change your location from live to online. Eventbrite won't automatically send the link of the livestream to your attendees.

Postponing your event

To postpone your event, we don’t require you to issue refunds. But it's critical you reach out to your attendees as soon as you can and that you set clear expectations with them: • Include your refund policy in your message • Clarify the timing for when your event will be rescheduled, and when and how that will be communicated to your attendees • If you’re offering refunds, give attendees instructions on how they can request one eblink{Follow step-by-step instructions on postponing on Eventbrite=>https://www.eventbrite.sg/support/articleredirect?anum=34497} in our Help Centre.

Cancelling your event

If you have to cancel an event, it's important to communicate with your attendees and issue refunds. Refunded service fees for cancelled and postponed events

If an event is cancelled or postponed, the refund you issue to your ticket buyer will include the entire purchase—the ticket price and any fees.
