About the Main Speaker

Arvid Yap

Arvid is a highly experienced social media strategist and has international work experience in both Europe and Asia. He’s worked on several International brands, to name a few: L’Oreal, BMW and Mattel and has also created social media and digital marketing strategies for small to medium sized businesses. He was a guest contributor for Forbes magazine and recently launched bDigital, a social media marketing news site for South East Asia. His startup was recently featured both on the cover and in the magazine of Globe Asia.

Hermant Chanrai, Founder of Azzura Solar

At 25 years old, Hemant Chanrai became a social entrepreneur and started Azzura Solar to bring power to poor communities in Indonesia. The company gained momentum as more and more companies funded the solar powered lighting systems for installation. Since its launch, Azzura Solar has added 200,000 hours of lumens in over 3,000 homes, saved USD $96,000 for rural communities, and enabled over 5,000 hours of extra study, writing, and reading time for children without access to reliable energy. Hermant holds a Master degree in International Business from University of London.

Clarissa Leung, Co-Founder of Seekmi

Clarrissa is a serial entrepreneur, with two successful start-ups in North America before coming to Indonesia to build Seekmi, the No.1 Service Marketplace in Indonesia. She holds an MBA and Computer Engineering degree from Canada and has been passionate about technology from an early age, building her first highly popular website at the age of 11. Since then she has worked as a software engineer at top international companies in Japan and Canada, and in the process has earned three global patents in digital imaging technology. She has been featured in national media as one of the most prominent women tech entrepreneurs in Indonesia and hopes to keep creating technology which help solve real world problems.
