The Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum is the only natural history museum in Singapore, and is dedicated to research, education and outreach. With a part of its collection hailing from the original Raffles Museum, it is home to over a million specimens from the region. Its public galleries have over 2,000 real specimens on display.

The Edutainment Zoom programme is for children and families, comprising light-hearted talks, story-telling and live demos!

The Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) is pleased to present the 'Edutainment Zoom' season 2 programmes facilitated by our partners! Tune in to our educational and entertaining web sessions via Zoom from Tuesday 8 Sep to Saturday 12 Sep at 4–5 pm , covering topics from composting with worms, muddy mudflats, microorganisms, storytelling on eye care and dragonfly drawing.Myopia, device dependency, gaming addiction, cyber bullying and lack of outdoor activity are some of the serious consequences resulting from the ever-increasing reliance of children on digital technology. Stories from The Plano Adventures series by our partner Plano are based on scientific research and were written to educate and empower children to take responsibility for their own device use.

In this story-telling session, Professor Plano and his twin sidekicks, Zed and Zee, are on their way to Rainbow’s Edge to meet the Ray Keepers. They hope that the Ray Keepers can help them find out which type of Light is the best ingredient for the Clear Vision Recipe! However, when they reach Rainbow’s Edge, they come across a flight of sickly dragons who are caught up using Bottle-Bottle screens that give off a strange, eerie glow. Lord Myopic must be up to no good again! Together with the Ray Keepers, the trio works against time to save the dragons, but are they too late?

There will be a short quiz and prizes to be won!
