WHAT?

Participants will learn additional skills of chinese ink and brush techniques. They will learn about fine outlining and traditional composition of Chinese art. Participants will hone their skills by practising over subjects including landscapes, human form, animals.

Participants should have attended a beginners course in chinese brush or watercolour painting course. This recommendation ensures participants shall enjoy the pace of the course.


Learning Outcome

Develop deep interest and passion in Chinese culture through Chinese brush painting.

Be able to paint various themes using Chinese ink, brush and paint.

Understand the composition and perspectives of Chinese Brush painting.

SkillsFuture Credit

  • All tickets purchased with the intent to use SkillsFuture Credit to offset the course fee will be subject to a non-refundable $20-commitment fee.
  • The $500 One-off SkillsFuture Credit Top-Up provided in 2020 will expire on 31 December 2025 and cannot be used for courses starting in 2026.

Trainer's Profile:

Lee Sher Ley is a graduate from the Raffles Design Institute Singapore (used to be call LASALLE International Fashion School (L.I.F.S) Singapore) and also holds a NAFA Certificate in Children’s Art and Craft. With more than 10 years of teaching experience under her belt, her bubbly and jovial demeanour makes her an instant hit with all her students. Shirley’s passion for Arts goes beyond teaching in the classroom setting. She has spent more than 10 years volunteering in the art programme at Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS).

HOW? Do I begin the process of using my SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) to pay for course fees:


Step 1 (on Skillsfuture Website): Check your SkillsFuture credit balance.

Log into your SkillsFuture Portal to confirm you have sufficient SkillsFuture Credit balance (Take note: $4K SkillsFuture Career Transition Credits CANNOT be used for Brahm Centre courses).

Step 2 (on Eventbrite Website): Securing your ticket.

On Eventbrite, search for the course you are interested in.

Step 3 (on Eventbrite Website): Select correct ticket type & complete registration.

Select the intended Ticket Type (either SkillsFuture or SkillsFuture + Material) and complete your registration. Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing information about the course.

Save/Screenshot the confirmation. (you will use this in the following steps)


Step 4 (on Skillsfuture Website): Submit your SkillsFuture claim.

Go back to the SkillsFuture Portal to submit a claim under 'E-Services'.

Please submit your SkillsFuture credit claim 60 days BEFORE the course commencement, for it to be valid. Deadline to submit SFC Claim is one week prior to course commencement.


Step 5 (on Skillsfuture Website):

If your SFC submission was completed successfully, the status of your submission would reflect as "PENDING".

Your registration is confirmed after your SkillsFuture claim status reflect as "APPROVED".

*Should you choose to cancel your SFC claim before the start date, Brahm Centre reserves the right to impose a penalty fee for course withdrawal.


Notes:

  • There are NO make-ups if you miss any of the art sessions.
  • Missing a session does not disqualify you from taking part in the course - the trainer is not obligated to recap what was missed.
  • Brahm Centre reserves the right to replan the course should the trainer be unable to conduct the class due to unforeseen circumstances.

Do note that photographs and videos may be taken during the course for publicity purposes.
