இன்றைய சூழலில், 'வெளியீடு' என்பது வெறும் புத்தகங்கள் மட்டுமல்ல. ஒரு எழுத்தாளரின் பயணம் பெரும்பாலும் இலக்கிய இதழ்கள், இணைய இதழ்கள் அல்லது தொகுப்பு நூல்களிலிருந்தே தொடங்குகிறது. இவை உங்கள் எழுத்தை மெருகேற்றி, புத்தக வெளியீட்டிற்கு உங்களைத் தயார்படுத்துகின்றன.

வளர்ந்துவரும் எழுத்தாளரான உங்களுக்கு வழிகாட்டுவதற்காகவே இந்த அமர்வு ஏற்பாடாகியுள்ளது. இந்தக் கலந்துரையாடலில், அனுபவம் வாய்ந்த எழுத்தாளர் அல்லது பதிப்பாளர் பின்வரும் முக்கிய அம்சங்களை விளக்குவார்:

• இதழ்களுக்குப் படைப்புகளை அனுப்புதல்: உங்கள் எழுத்தை எப்படிச் சமர்ப்பிப்பது?
• போட்டிகள், சிற்றிதழ்கள்: சிறிய அளவிலான பதிப்பகங்கள், போட்டிகள் ஆகியவற்றில் உள்ள வாய்ப்புகள்.
• பதிப்பாளர்களை அணுகுதல்: பெரிய பதிப்பகங்களை அணுகுவதற்கான வழிமுறைகள்.

எழுத்துத் துறையின் தற்போதைய போக்குகள், நடைமுறை ஆலோசனைகள், உங்கள் படைப்பை உலகறியச் செய்வதற்கான தெளிவான வழிகாட்டுதல்கள் ஆகியவற்றை இந்தப் பயிற்சியின் மூலம் பெறலாம்.

Synopsis

Publishing opportunities today go far beyond books. Many writers begin by placing their work in literary journals, online magazines, or anthologies before moving on to full-length publications. But how do you know which path is right for you—and how do you get started?

In this session, an experienced writer or publisher will guide participants through the essentials of getting their work published: from submitting to journals, exploring competitions and small presses, to eventually working with agents and publishers. Participants will gain practical tips, industry insights, and a clear understanding of how to share their writing with the world.

This session will be conducted in Tamil, ensuring that writers of all backgrounds can access guidance in the language they write in.

கண்ணன் சுந்தரம் இதழியல், எழுத்து, பதிப்பு ஆகிய துறைகளில் 30 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேல் அனுபவம் பெற்றவர். பதிப்புச் சூழல், ஊடகம், அரசியல் முதலானவை குறித்து ஆழமான நூல்களை எழுதியிருக்கிறார். காலச்சுவடு இதழையும் காலச்சுவடு பதிப்பகத்தையும் கடந்த 30 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக நடத்திவருகிறார். தமிழின் தீவிர இதழியலின் எல்லைகளையும் தமிழ்ப் பதிப்புலகின் எல்லைகளையும் விரிவுபடுத்தியதில் காலச்சுவடு இதழுக்கும் பதிப்பகத்துக்கும் முக்கியப் பங்கு உள்ளது. கண்ணன் இந்திய அளவிலும் உலக அளவிலும் பதிப்பு தொடர்பான பல்வேறு கருத்தரங்குகளில் கலந்துகொண்டு பங்களித்திருக்கிறார். தமிழ்-பிரெஞ்சு பண்பாட்டு உறவை இலக்கியத்தின் வழியாக வலுப்படுத்தியமைக்காக பிரெஞ்சு அரசு வழங்கும் உயரிய விருதான செவாலியே விருதைப் பெற்றவர்.

Kannan Sundaram is a veteran with over three decades of profound experience across the spheres of journalism, writing, and publishing. As a keen observer and critic of the cultural landscape, he has authored insightful works on the publishing ecosystem, media dynamics, and contemporary politics.

For more than 30 years, he has been running Kalachuvadu magazine and Kalachuvadu Publications, which have played a pivotal role in redefining the boundaries of serious journalism and literary publishing in Tamil. Under his leadership, Kalachuvadu has transformed from a regional powerhouse into a globally recognized literary brand.

A prominent voice in the international publishing circuit, Kannan frequently represents Indian publishing at prestigious seminars and global forums. In recognition of his exceptional contribution to strengthening Indo-French cultural and literary ties, he was conferred with the Chevalier (Knight) of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the Government of France.

Cancellation:

The programme can be cancelled or postponed two weeks before the programme date if the minimum number of participants is not met. Participants will be fully refunded for workshops cancelled by us.

Participants who are unable to attend a workshop they have registered for are to inform us of the reason two weeks before the workshop date. They will be fully refunded in the event of extenuating and mitigating circumstances (E.g. illness, bereavement, accidents) . Those who inform us up to 5 working days before the workshop date will receive a 50% refund. Those who did not turn up at the workshop will not receive a refund.
