Theme: Busting Anxiety!

You will be traversing a range of formal and informal mindfulness practices and learning concepts to unwind anxieties.

Venue: Chui Huay Lin Club Ballroom, 190 Keng Lee Rd, Singapore 308409 (8 min walk from Newton MRT)

Each session will comprise guidance, mindfulness practices, Q&A. 

What to Bring: Yoga mat, water bottle, shawl or jacket in case you feel cold in the ballroom. Wear comfortable clothing

Retreat Teachers:



Adj. A/Prof Angie Chew teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Courses. She is the leading mindfulness teacher in Singapore and has taught mindfulness to over 10,000 including healthcare professionals, educators, bankers, technologists, homemakers and students. She has also conducted numerous mindfulness retreats.

Dr. Judson Brewer is a psychiatrist and neuroscientist who graduated from Yale and is now with the Brown University Mindfulness Centre. He studied the underlying neural mechanisms of mindfulness using standard and real-time fMRI and EEG neuro-feedback, adding to the understanding of the brain’s “Default Mode Network” and the role of the posterior cingulate cortex (PCC) in self-referential thinking.

He is the author of Unwinding Anxiety and The Craving Mind: from cigarettes to smartphones to love, why we get hooked and how we can break bad habits (New Haven: Yale University Press, 2017).

He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, trained US Olympic athletes and coaches, foreign government ministers and corporate leaders. His work has been featured on 60 Minutes, TED (4th most viewed talk of 2016, with 10+ Million views), Time magazine (top 100 new health discoveries of 2013), Forbes, CNN, BBC, NPR, Al Jazeera (documentary about his research), The Washington Post, Businessweek and others.

Dr Judson Brewer who is based in the USA will be teaching via Zoom.

Course fee: $480 | $96 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy*

*NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.

Course fee may be offset by ^SkillsFuture Credit (SFC). First, course participants are to make payment for the course through Brahm Centre Eventbrite page, followed by claim with SFC. Brahm Centre will reimburse the amount that is successfully claim upon receipt of the funds from SFC. More details on SFC will be provided upon registration.
