Is there a physical camp this year?

Yes! It will be an in-person day camp.

Question 2

Is it a stay-in camp?

Accepted Answer

No, it is a day camp. Participants will not sleep over at a campsite during the event.

Question 3

Do I need to fast from solid food for 30 hours this year?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Our signature 30-hour fast from solid food returned in 2022, and we hope that through the experience of fasting, participants will gain a deeper appreciation of the struggles that vulnerable children and families face when they go without food for much longer periods of time.

Question 4

How will we get to Lazarus Island and Sentosa?

On Day 1, we will be chartering a ferry for participants to Lazarus Island. On Day 2, participants will head to the gathering point in Sentosa on their own. Details and directions will be sent to participants before the event begins.

Is Lazarus Island safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Lazarus Island is part of Singapore’s cluster of Southern Islands and is a popular weekend destination for both Singaporeans and tourists. Every team will be accompanied by a facilitator, and staff members of the organising team are trained in Standard First Aid, including CPR and AED.

Will the challenges be team challenges or individual challenges?

30 Hour Famine: Uncharted will consist entirely of team challenges! You are highly encouraged to sign up in teams of up to 10 with your friends. For individuals, we will do our best to place you in a team comprising members of a similar age group as you.

I am unable to join the camp in person. Will I be able to complete the camp virtually?

No, there will not be any online challenges this year.

Question 8

Will the on-site event carry on if the COVID-19 situation changes?

Accepted Answer

We will be monitoring the COVID-19 situation to ensure a safe 30 Hour Famine experience for all participants! Do follow our Instagram account @worldvisionyouthsg and look out for any updates!

Question 9

Can I ask for a refund if I cannot join the 30 Hour Famine anymore?

Accepted Answer

All registration fees are non-refundable, but you do have the option of identifying another person to participate in your place. Please send an email to youth@worldvision.org.sg if you wish to do so.
