Parenting Adolescents - Reframing the ChallengeParenting adolescents is no easy task. All of a sudden, tried and tested parenting techniques can stop working. However, the challenges can be overcome and adolescence can be an extremely rewarding period for teenagers and parents alike. This talk will introduce the difficult developmental stage of teenagers, the warning signs to look out for, and some of the tools parents can use to help support their adolescent children.Sheyla Hardy is a counsellor working with adolescents in private practice, supporting clients with issues relating to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, interpersonal and parental challenges, and unhelpful/unhealthy behaviours. The proceeds of this talk will go towards our efforts to raise funds for Women for Women International, a nin-profit that supports women that are victims of war and domestic violence and Green Bees Social, a non-profit that focus on creating awareness on environemntal and social issues.
