Contest Scope

The AMC 8 Contest is a 25 multiple-choice contest with topics that are spread across the following topics

• Estimation
• Percentages
• Spatial visualization
• Data analysis
• Combinatorics
• Everyday Applications
• Problem solving and more...

There is no penalty for wrong answers.Contest duration is 40-minutes.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Contestants have to be aged 14.5 years and below on the date of the contest -18 November 2014.

Students are advised to bring along their Student ID or passport for verification purposes.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

You can reach the contest venue by MRT-Bugis.

We are located just next to the Bugis Plus.

Parking is available at Bugis Plus and Waterloo Centre.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Please bring along your student ID, 2B pencils and erasers.

Pls do not bring calculators.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

All registrations are no refundable and non-transferrable.

Can I update my registration information?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

A printed ticket is preferred.

However if you have forgotten to print the ticket, please do not panic as we will

have your details on file if you have registrated and mail payment.

What is the refund policy?

Pls bereminded that all registrations are non refundable nor transferrable.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes as the name on the registration ticket is pegged to the name of the payee.
