4th Youth Forum Brunei: Uniting Youth

By Young Professionals Network Brunei

Overview

The Youth Forum Brunei is an initiative co-organised by the Young Professionals Network and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The YPN Brunei is a network setup as a platform to nurture personal and professional growth of young professionals in Brunei Darussalam through key initiatives such as networking, dialogue, mentorship, advocacy and development programmes.

Founded and led by a group of passionate young professionals from diverse backgrounds, YPN Brunei aspires to keep this network inclusive, engaging, meaningful and impactful and aim to promote and empower employability and champion young professionals' capacity for leadership at various levels.

As one of our main initiatives, the Youth Forum Brunei (YFB) is a platform that brings together young leaders and policy makers to discuss insights, challenges and opportunities to the development of Brunei as the platform aspires to promote youth participation and leadership in economic, national and regional development.

Originally a continuation of the Brunei Chevening Youth Forum hosted since 2015 by Chevening Alumni Brunei which brought together over 1450 young leaders to engage in the 11 forums, workshops and talk series, YFB aims to continue providing a platform for constructive dialogue and a space where young people can connect with other like-minded peers and feel safe to share their voice.

4th Youth Forum Brunei: Uniting YOUTH

in conjunction with the BIMP-EAGA Youth Bus Program 2025

As Brunei is host to the inaugural Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) BIMP-EAGA Youth Bus Program, the Youth Forum Brunei is convened to gather young people from across the region to spark passion, creativity, and unity.

The 4th Youth Forum Brunei themed “Uniting YOUTH” calls for young people to develop greater awareness, deeper understanding, and lasting collaboration. This is developed as an opportunity for Bruneian youth to better understand the significance of the BIMP-EAGA — not just as a geopolitical bloc, but as a platform for cross-border friendships, innovation, and sustainable development.

The 4th Youth Forum Brunei aims to:

  1. Facilitate meaningful two-way dialogue between youth and policymakers on cross-border opportunities in entreprenuership.
  2. Inspire youths with success stories in uniting for the progress of BIMP-EAGA and what they can do next.
  3. Enable youth participation in targeted capacity-building workshops on entrepreneurship, community development, and essential skills development.

This edition of Youth Forum Brunei is co-organised by the Young Professionals Network Brunei, The Youth and Sports Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, in conjunction with the BIMP-EAGA Youth Bus Program 2025.

The forum aims to bring in about 200 youth from all 4 districts, and 20 youth delegates from BIMP-EAGA region.
