I would like to share, but I am scared.

It is ok to come, and just be an audience first. You do not have to speak/share, if you do not prefer to. Once you start feeling comfortable, then you can step up and share. No pressure, no obligations. Even listening in to others stories and experiences can be helpful!

Question 2

I do not have any talent. Can I still attend?

Accepted Answer

We all have talent, perhaps yours is shy. And that's ok. Come and be an audience, and celebrate others first. We can also help you discover your talent along the way :)

Question 3

Why do we need to pay, even as a child/youth?

Accepted Answer

Because we have some overheads to cover for these events, such as the rental of the space to gather at. These amounts that you are paying, are token amounts, to offset the costs of these overheads.

What can I share during these Open Mic sessions?

Accepted Answer

There is usually a theme for each session. You can share based on the theme, and share in any of these formats :
?Song Writing Compositions
?Original songs
?Song covers
?Poetry 
?Book Reading 
?Graphics Design
?Voiceovers 
?Skit or role plays 
?Playing of Musical Instrume

Question 5

What do I need to bring to these sessions?

Accepted Answer

An open heart and an open mind, and some water to stay hydrated. If you are running a small business, you can also bring along your namecards, samples of your products, brochures, etc. Please inform us, if you are bringing any of these items, so that we can see how we can support you in sharing.
