活动简介

据说不论经过多少年，想起一位旧友来永远是他当年的青涩面孔。那么，当你想起一条街道呢？
若人的旧时模样代表青春，街巷的旧时模样不仅是历史，也是它的青春期。文字里的武吉班让甘榜生活，二马路到五马路的烟火气息，旧称“黑街”（武吉士）的喧嚣野性，并非泛黄回忆，而是一幕幕色彩鲜艳的生动景象。通过阅读，你可以重返年少，也可以体验一段不一样的青葱时光。

本场活动将导读文集《我狮城，我街道》其中的篇章。《我狮城，我街道》由汪来昇主编，收录多位本地知名作家书写的街道故事与回忆。

讲员简介

罗爽
罗爽，毕业于南洋理工大学中文系，现为媒体从业者。担任“世界动荡 我们读书”读书会策划人。每月与读书会友人阅读交流一部文学作品。曾获新华青年文学奖佳作奖。

嘉宾简介

汪来昇
汪来昇，现为新文潮出版社社长与总编辑。2022年任教育部中学语特营驻营作家、2023年获颁南大“人文学院杰出校友奖”。 著有诗集《喧嚣过后》、《消灭众神》；主编有诗选集《不可预期》、文集《我狮城，我街道》、公共管理学文集《观感狮城》等。

读书会简介
成立于2019年，”世界动荡我们读书”读书会的成员主要来自新加坡南洋理工大学中文系的本科生和研究生，加上近年在活动中加入我们的喜爱文学的朋友们。在丁珍珍老师的引导下，我们每月在城市书房细读一部文学作品，有时邀请作家与读者对谈交流，为生活创造一个精神角落。 

Memories of the streets and alleys: Discussing the book "Streets and places of Singapore"

The descriptions of kampung life in Bukit Panjang, the lively atmosphere from “Second Road” to “Fifth Road”, the bustling and wild nature of the old "Black Street" (Bugis) are not just faded memories, but vivid and colorful scenes. Through reading, you can revisit your youth and experience a different youthful time.

This programme will introduce chapters from the anthology " Streets and places of Singapore ". " Streets and places of Singapore " is edited by Ang Lai Sheng and includes street stories and memories written by several well-known local writers.

This programme is a joint initiative by the National Arts Council and the National Library Board.

Located at B1 of the National Library Building, the Central Public Library will open on 12 January 2024. Home to the Children’s Biodiversity Library by S.E.A. Aquarium, the library will also offer content on Singapore culture, literature and sustainability.
