Native American peoples had different names for July's Full Buck Moon; the name "Thunder moon" and others from the Old Farmer's Almanac reflect that in the Northern Hemisphere it is summer, the weather tends to be hot, and thunderstorms are more common. According to the Ontario Native Literacy Coalition the Anishinaabe called it the Raspberry moon, while Cree called it the Feather Molting moon, as some birds start to molt in the summer. Further south, the Cherokee call the July lunation in their traditional calendar the Ripe Corn moon. Exactly 1 year ago, I created an original music during the Buck Moon (check out my IG: https://www.instagram.com/layastudiosg)This year, I'm going to host a sound bath at my own studio and in commemoration to this moment, I'm going to play this music live with my Native American flute and Tibetan Singing bowls. Be prepared for a 75-min session on this day... What to prepare: <ul><li>Please arrive 10 min before the class starts to settle in.</li><li>Do come in comfortable outfit that allows you to stretch out.</li><li>It is encouraged to bring your own mat for hygiene purpose. But if you do not have, no worries, we've got your back.</li><li>Do bring your own cover materials such as eye mask or shawl to keep yourself comfortable.</li></ul>The session will start on-time and door will be locked 5 min after the class starts. Latecomers are not allowed to admit so as not to disrupt the class.
