Time to get your hands dirty in a culinary class like no other. Join Hedrick Kwan aka The Royal Goat in Bollywood Veggies, a 10-acre farm located in the heart of the Kranji Countryside. You'll get hands on experience on how to grow your own food, prepare (and eat!) delicious recipes featuring farm fresh ingredients and learn gardening tips and tricks from an experienced horticulturist.

The 4 hour farm-to-table cooking adventure will cover the following:

- garden tour

- cooking from the land

- round table lunch: entree, 3 mains and dessert

- gardening class: sprouting and propagation

- Q&A on plant health

The class is intended for anyone ages 13 and up.

About Hedrick Kwan:

Hedrick is the tender caregiver to the kingdom’s life source – its earth and its plants. A tradie at heart, she loves to work with her hands to nurture the delicate beauty of flowers and plants. Hedrick’s time spent as a UQ, Gatton undergraduate taught her efficiency and labour-saving process in farms and gardens. She has contributed positively to the horticulture industry in Singapore through education and advocacy at various work places such as Mandai Orchid Garden (RIP), landscaping and Bollywood veggies as the Royal Goat. In 2012, Hedrick founded Plant Visionz. The concept was to implement as well as impart knowledge to lay people on how to grow plants. Her interests range in horticulture includes foraging, orchid hybridization, extremely spicy chilli, garden to fork cooking, earthworm farming and growing food in all places. What are my transport options for getting to and from the event?

From Kranji MRT take the Kranji Countryside Express bus (round trip $3/adult, $1/child or senior citizen) The full bus schedule can be found here: https://goo.gl/TqNXS1. We don't recommend taking public transport as the bus stop is a long walk away.

What do I need to bring?

- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for walking

- Insect repellent, water bottle, umbrella, hat, sunglasses

- Eventbrite e-ticket booking (a softcopy will do)
