- 4 June, 4.30-6pm: Handknit bag
Crochet Coaster
You will learn:
- How to hold the crochet hook correctly
- How to make a slip knot to begin
- How to create a foundation chain
- Basic stitches: single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet
- How to turn your work to create rows
- How to count stitches and maintain tension
Fluffy Knit Bag
You will learn:
- Characteristics and benefits of fluffy yarn
- Overview of knitting techniques used for bag making
- Difference in knitting tools: hands vs. knitting needles
- Different bag styles and structures
- Tension control for even stitches
- Variations in making straps
- How to combine yarn of different colours or what to do when yarn runs out
Age Requirement: This workshop is suitable for adults and children ages 10 and up.
