A Perfect Day | Children Write

What would be a perfect day for you? Would it be spending time with your best friends, and enjoying delicious food? Or do you want to indulge in your favourite activity the whole day at home? Perhaps there is somewhere you have been longing to go with your family?

Join Quek Hong Shin, author and illustrator of books like The Amazing Sarong and Universe of Feelings for a workshop as he guides participants in descriptive writing for scene-setting and creating detailed illustrations. 

Please bring along:

- Your own writing and colouring materials for this workshop (e.g. pens, pencils, colour markers, colour pencils).

This programme is part of the Children Write series for children aged 7 to 12 to create a piece of writing and/or illustrative work as guided by established authors and/or illustrators. The works created by participants during the programme will be collected for display at Punggol Regional Library's community display. 

By registering for the workshop, you consent to:

i) having your child/ward's works collected at the end of the workshop

ii) NLB's right to capture videos and images relating to the workshop including of your child/ward and their completed works, and to use these for any NLB purposes such as in exhibitions, publications, and presentations (including on online and successor platforms)
