About this event
With the challenges brought about by COVID-19, 2020 has been a transformative year for the performing arts. The sudden widespread adoption of technology in the way we create, produce, and present work has propelled many artists, arts centres, and presenters into an unfamiliar digital world. We have had to reconsider notions of liveness, find new ways for artists to continue to present work, adopt strategies and infrastructures incorporating digitalisation, or curate new digital interactions to connect with our audiences and communities on this entirely new stage.
Join us for our first ever AAPPAC 2021 Virtual Conference – Digital: Unpacked! – Bringing the Arts to the Future Audience. Over two days, we focus the spotlight on Performing Arts Audiences to unpack the ways we can engage and reach out to them in ways that still remain relevant and meaningful. Network and chat with other delegates as well as hear from experts and specialists in the fields of producing and programming, digital marketing, and arts management, as they share their thoughts on the shifts and transformations that need to take place in the performing arts to address the changing needs of our future audiences in this digital world.
