About this event

In this intermediate acrylic course, you will learn additional techniques to create artwork with more details and different type of textures. You should have attended a beginners course in acrylic. This recommendation ensures participants has a basic understanding of fundamental painting techniques.

Introduction to micro perspective.

Learn about contrast: Shadow and Highlights.

Learn about observations for compositions and implement different techniques.

Learn about animal facial structure and how to paint furs.

Learn to use different tools such as palette knife to create different types of textures


Learning Outcome

  • Understand the Acrylic medium using a picture reference to hone observation.
  • Use different types of brushes and tools to create variety of textures.
  • Understand the importance of textures and strokes.
  • Understand and apply the different layers in a painting.

Materials provided:

Arts material will be provided.

Things that participants need to bring from HOME:

One container for washing brushes and cleaning cloth. Newspaper to keep the table clean.

Course Fee:

$320 |$64 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy*

*NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.

In addition to NSA subsidy, course fee may be offset by SkillsFuture Credit (SFC).


Payment Procedure:

1) Upon registration, course participants are to make payment for the course through Brahm Centre’s Eventbrite page. This is considered as a deposit to reserved a place in the course.

2) Participants have to claim with SFC before the course start date through the SkillsFuture portal, https://www.myskillsfuture.gov.sg/

3) Brahm Centre will reimburse the amount that is successfully claimed upon receipt of the funds from SFC. This procedure can take up to 12 weeks from the course end date.

Notes:

  • Please note that payments for courses are non-refundable.
  • There are no make-up lessons if you miss any session and the trainer is not obligated to do a recap during the following session.
  • Brahm Centre reserves the right to replace a trainer, should the trainer be unable to conduct the class due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Photos and/or videos may be taken during activities for Brahm Centre's records and promotional purposes.

Trainer Bio

Steve Liu is trained as an Interior Designer; but the call to pursue his passion in Arts has never left him.

Following his passion to teach; He started his studio to guide adults after 7 years of arts teaching to children. From the experience, he believes that there is a place for Arts in everyone. And it is something that he would encourage for people to discover.
