WHAT?
What are the things at home that we can upcycle? Glass Bottle? Used Chopping board? Old Ceramic Plate or Plastic Container? In this course, student will learn how to upcycle the common things in our house by turning them into a piece of art through various decorative art techniques. The complete project can be reused as gift or new decorative ornament for the house.
Course Objective:
Student will learn how to use the various techniques learnt to decorate various materials in the course, so that they can upcycle their household items by transforming them into an art pieces.
Topics Covered:
Lesson 1: Glass Bottle (Texture)
Lesson 2: CD Coaster (Decoupage)
Lesson 3: Used Canvas Bag (Fabric Painting)
Lesson 4: Plastic Bottle and used fabric
Learning Outcomes:
a) Able to apply the same techniques onto the same or similar items at home
b) Able to use the techniques learnt to adventure on different materials
Training Delivery Method:
Participants will watch live demonstration.

**Minimum 10 students to start class
Most art materials for the lessons are provided.
Participants need to bring the following items to the class as instructed:
1. Apron (For all lessons)
2. Used/old Canvas Bag (Instruction will be given before lesson)
3. Plastic Bottle and used Fabric (Instruction will be given before lesson)
COURSE FEE:
$150 |$30 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy*
*NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.
In addition to NSA subsidy, course fee may be offset by SkillsFuture Credit (SFC).
Payment Procedure:
1) Upon registration, course participants are to make payment for the course through Brahm Centre’s Eventbrite page.
2) Participants have to claim with SFC before the course start date through the SkillsFuture portal, https://www.myskillsfuture.gov.sg/content/portal/en/index.html
3) Brahm Centre will reimburse the amount that is successfully claimed upon receipt of the funds from SFC. This procedure can take up to 12 weeks from the course start date.
4) Participants must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance, to be eligible for their SkillsFuture Credit reimbursement.
Notes:
• Please note that payments for courses are non-refundable.
• There are no make-up lessons if you miss any session.
• If you miss the first session, you are allowed to proceed with the course. However, the trainer is not obligated to do a recap during the second session.
• Brahm Centre reserves the right to replace a trainer, should the trainer be unable to conduct the class due to unforeseen circumstances.
Trainer Profile:
Danica Yip is full time art and craft instructor. She is a certified instructor for Decoupage, Zentangle, Pastel Art and Silver Art Clay. Danica has also been learning, practicing, and conducting art and craft workshops, such as mosaic art, fluid art, painting, card making and etc. She is very passionate about craft making, and hope that her students enjoy the craft, creating the projects and her lessons.

Please note that all course registrations are NON-refundable. Transfer of selected mindfulness courses is subject to a $30 transfer fee and a $10 admin fee for a mindfulness make-up class. There are NO transfers or make-up classes available for all other courses.
