AHA 2022 Award Winner On-Site Lecture - Raffles Hotel
Architectural Heritage Award (AHA) 2022 Award winner for Conservation, this is a specially curated site lecture, led by the Architect behind the restoration and designed for architects and QPs working with conservation projects.
Join Mr Low Soo Sing (Aedas) and Mr Ho Weng Hin (Studio Lapis), from the project team as they share on the recent restoration of the iconic Raffles Hotel. Participants can learn about the efforts to address long hidden building issues, sensitive handling of diverse materials such as timber, lime plaster and cast iron to systematically restore the building to support contemporary needs. Beyond the physical work carried out on the building, this on-site lecture will also elaborate on the importance of building maintenance and upkeep as well as developing a heritage management plan to guide long-term building management.
