The Poor Kitchen: Imagine Living With Nature
Date: 13 December 2025 (Saturday)
Time: 10am - 12.30pm
Venue: Off Siglap Drive (Address will be provided after registration)

Living in proximity with nature changes the aesthetics of daily life. Walking, eating, cleaning and interacting with others in this home have become ways to unlearn how one makes sense of the world and finds meaning through mundane acts of doing and making. “The poor kitchen” is both a metaphor and a philosophy of honouring simplicity and dignity of the present moment and everyday ingredients, no matter how scarce. Pure, clean, nourishing, pleasing - the essential ingredients in this poor kitchen.

Partner Bio:

Emylia enjoys quietly observing the natural world, spends much time in the kitchen working with wild yeast and bacteria, and collects night-time dreams. As the keeper of the wild gardens in this home, Minh spends hours between sky and soil, tending to growth and decay with equal care and attention. They find joy in a life that is in close companionship with nature.
