AliWALL Festival 2022: The Dreamer

AliWALL Festival is a culmination of participative art experiences that redefine the walls – both physical and metaphorical – as canvases to unite artists and audiences closer to collectively consider what urban living is, now and for the future.

For its debut under the theme “The Dreamer”, AliWALL Festival brings contrasting worlds of fantasy and reality, both indoors and outdoors to Aliwal Arts Centre for a weekend-only showcase from 21st to 23rd January 2022. The Dreamer unfolds in three parts across the premises to draw new imaginations with activities that seek to uplift and engage visitors.

The Festival highlights include Reality in Construction, an outdoor participative mural interpreting our capricious realities, and Permission to Dream, an indoor immersive audio-visual experience designed for you to dream unbound. Exclusively on 22 Jan, Saturday, there will also be an urban art market and live tattoo sessions.

Artists:

Being presented for the first time are site-specific artworks and commissions by Spaz and TraseOne from urban collective RSCLS, visual artists Has.J, Howie Kim, Kristal Melson, Slacsatu, and performers Ammar "Ameezy", Sandhya Suresh, Sonia Kwek and Tysha Khan. AliWALL Festival 2022: The Dreamer is curated by Tulika Ahuja (Mama Magnet).
