About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

What happens when one moment changes everything?

A dragon boat race in Boracay nearly cost Mathilda D’Silva her life—exposure to polluted seawater triggered serious autoimmune health issues. But instead of walking away, she asked a bigger question: What if this happened for a reason?

That question sparked the birth of Ocean Purpose Project (OPP)—a mission to clean our oceans, transform plastic waste into fuel, and restore marine ecosystems with seaweed and mussels.

Join us for alt.TALKS #4, where Mathilda shares her inspiring journey from corporate life to ocean warrior, and how anyone—regardless of background—can lead change through passion, purpose, and people.

🌊 What to Expect:

  • Mathilda’s raw and powerful story of transformation
  • How OPP is turning plastic into clean energy
  • Seaweed, mussels & marine regeneration—why they matter
  • Lessons on leading bold solutions without a science degree
  • A space to ask questions, connect, and be inspired

Whether you’re a student, climate advocate, ocean lover or just curious about impactful work—this is a session you don’t want to miss.
