Join Rosemary Lim, author of the book An Irish Tour of Singapore, and follow in the footsteps of the Irish who helped to build Singapore.
From CHIJMES to Cavenagh Bridge, you will learn about the Irish architects, missionary teachers, civil servants and others who lived and worked in Singapore in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Participants will receive the following free:
- Copy of Rosemary's book
- Tote bag
- Hat
- T-shirt
- Notebook & pen
- Voucher for one drink at Molly Malone's Irish Pub after the tour
Bring water, an umbrella, hand sanitiser, plus any medication you require. Also, bring earphones as we will be using individual radio receivers during the tour
Please arrive by 4.45pm for Covid -19 Safe-Entry
- Masks are compulsory
- Safe Entry health declaration and temperature taking for all participants
- Distancing of one metre
- The tour will be split into two sub-groups of 4 to 5 people;. Strictly no mingling between groups.
Meeting Point: Corner of Stamford Rd and North Bridge Rd outside the SMRT Building next to CHIJMES opposite Raffles City
Nearest MRT: City Hall - City Hall - Exit A
Directions: After escalators, take the Stamford Road exit (left) from Raffles City. Outside turn right and walk straight to the junction, past the taxi stand. Cross North Bridge Road at the traffic lights. Look out for tote bags with shamrocks.
Tour Begins: 5:00pm sharp - arrive at least 15 minutes in advance
Tour Ends: 7:00pm at Cavenagh Bridge, opposite the Fullerton Hotel
Distance: Approx 2.75km
The Walk: Slow-paced with several stops along the way. You will encounter some steps and uneven ground so please exercise caution. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Age: 18 years and over
Refund Policy: Because this is a charity event, there will be no refunds once tickets are purchased
Postponement: Tours may be rescheduled due to inclement weather which poses a danger to participants

2. Each participant will adhere to the guide's instructions and will be responsible for any injury, loss or damage due to negligence or other actions on his/her part.
