About the Teams
4 ARISE teams will showcase their technology and commericalise innovation outcome after eight weeks of hard work. The teams presenting will include:
• IM2Cell – antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is widespread around the world and poses a serious threat to public health. Present Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST) at hospitals and medical facilities is slow (14-20 hours). IM2Cell’s label-free microfluidic bacterial analysis platform currently can provide quantitative AST results within 30 minutes. Prof Ye Ai leads the team.
• Magic3D – an advanced Multi-material 3D printer system that supports a wide range of liquid materials, from soft elastomers to silicone-compatible hard epoxies, enables automated integration of continuous fibres. Prof Pablo Valdivia leads the team.
• NeatSens – specially designed yarns with unique knitting patterns and electronically-enabled knitwear that enable uninterrupted and realistic monitoring of joint load and mobility, providing crucial actionable insights for effective physical training and performance analysis. Prof Low Hong Yee leads the team.
• PARIS – an innovative tethered aerial robotics system for solar panel cleaning that employs a proprietary aerial robotics technology with a rub-and-rinse mechanism to ensure safe, efficient and sustainable cleaning of solar panels to maximize energy output. Prof Foong Shaohui leads the team.
