Pictures shown are examples, actual projects in this course shall vary.

Participants will learn the Art of Planting in this course through the creation of Terrariums, Kokedamas, Plant Assemblage and basic potted plants. They will also learn Art and Craft techniques such as the painting of pots, making Macrame plant hangers to add interest to their plant works.

Through this process, each participant will engage their different sensory and motor skills which encourages each to appreciate the art of planting

Introduction to mini landscaping for planting. Making Terrarium.

Introduction to Japanese aesthetics in planting . Making Kokedama, hanging & table top.

Introduction to air plants with landscaping.

Introduction to Macrame, self watering techniques, and ways to propagate plants.

Enzyme making.

Introduction to succulents. What type of soil and how to maintain it.


Learning Outcome

1. Appreciate the art of planting.

2. Ability in differentiating the different species of plants, soil types, tools.

3. Understand how to apply craft design in planting.

Course Fee: $350 |$70 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy*

*NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above. In addition to NSA subsidy, course fee may be offset by SkillsFuture Credit (SFC).


Payment Procedure:

1) Upon registration, course participants are to make payment for the course through Brahm Centre’s Eventbrite page. This is considered as a deposit to reserve a place in the course.

2) Participants have to claim with SFC before the course start date through the SkillsFuture portal, https://www.myskillsfuture.gov.sg/

3) Brahm Centre will reimburse the amount that is successfully claimed upon receipt of the funds from SFC. This procedure can take up to 12 weeks from the course end date.


Notes:

  • Please note that payments for courses are non-refundable.
  • There are no make-up lessons if you miss any session and the trainer is not obligated to do a recap during the following session.
  • Brahm Centre reserves the right to replace a trainer, should the trainer be unable to conduct the class due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Photos and/or videos may be taken during activities for Brahm Centre's records and promotional purposes.

Trainer's Bio:

Grace Tan is an avid crafter with wide range of crafts from clay art, paper quilling, decoupage, egg shell art to air plant and terrarium etc. She has vast experience in conducting art workshops & activities for various social organisations.
