Join our 1-hour drum workshop! Learn drum techniques, rhythm reading, and create rhythms together. Open to anyone 13+ with no experience.
In this 1-hour workshop, students will learn:
- To read Chinese and Western drum notation
- The fundamental techniques such as wrist motion, finger control, and grip
- To develop listening skills to identify and play different rhythms
- To decipher and understand how to play in various time signatures and use them to create interesting rhythms
- To learn about dynamic control
- Play through self-created rhythms together as an ensemble
