About this event

Daniel Tendean has been living in Singapore for more than 15 years. He has been working within the financial industry ever since. Now he calls Singapore home. Being true to his roots, he has a great passion for batik and other Indonesian textiles in general.

His love affair with batik started early. Growing up in Jakarta among Javanese neighbors gave him his first taste of Javanese culture. His fascination with batik motifs and their rich symbolic meanings developed into deep personal interest. He also loves traveling and building his textile collection while he travels.
