Lydia Lim, Head, SPH Schools and Student Publications

Since joining the paper in 1999, she has covered local politics, policies and Singapore-Malaysia relations, three journalism beats that have taken her around the island and the world, including to international courts in Hamburg and the Hague for two exciting hearings on reclamation and Pedra Branca. She now oversees newsroom training and student publications. She also writes a column in the Sunday Times.

Audrey Tan, Science and Environment Correspondent

Recognised as a leading voice in the field by environmentalists and scientists here, as well as internationally by organisations such as the Pulitzer Centre, Ms Audrey Tan devoted the first seven years of her career to carving a niche for herself in science and environment matters. This year, her wide-ranging work won her the Journalist of the Year award at Singapore Press Holdings' annual journalism awards for its English/Malay/Tamil Media Group, her first since joining the paper in 2013.
