Behind the scenes with our Conservators

About this event

Join us online to find out if you have the makings of a conservator! Step inside the Archives Conservation Lab to get a glimpse of our daily lives and learn how we preserve precious documents so that the future generations can continue to enjoy them. You will also learn how to make a book easily using everyday items in your household, perfect for journaling and scrapbooking.

Please note that this programme is suitable for kids aged 7 -12 years.

Materials to prepare:

  • 2 rubber bands
  • Any type of string that is suitable for tying (approximately 20 cm)
  • 2 Branches/ wooden sticks (approximately 10cm -11cm long)
  • 4 sheets of A4 sized paper (Any type will do - plain/coloured/recycled)
  • A hole puncher
